FAQ

Top 5 Questions Asked
1. How long can artificial nails be worn and how soon can I apply a new set?
We recommend that nails not be worn for longer than 7 days. Although each individual wear is different for every customer, keeping the nails on for extended periods of time is not advised. The glue will begin to break down during wear with exposure to water and temperature changes causing gaps to occur underneath the artificial nail. These gaps, along with nail growth at the cuticle, may form an opening for moisture and bacteria to enter. To avoid susceptibility to the possibility of a mold growth, we suggest properly removing artificial nails after 7 days of wear and replacing with a fresh set almost immediately if desired! Please remember to follow steps for proper removal as well as proper application.
2. How do I remove artificial nails?
DO NOT pick or pry nails off. Soak in acetone-based remover for several minutes to soften plastic and glue. Gently wipe nails onto paper towels to remove remaining residue. Remove nails even faster using Kiss All or One Artificial Nail Remover to safely and gently remove glue-on nail enhancements, tips, and fabric wraps. Clip and file nail enhancement to break seal of topcoat, Submerge fingers in remover for 2 minutes and dip and twist in remover.
3. Can I only buy the nail sizes that I use?
Currently, Broadway nail sizes are not available individually. All Broadway nail kits are made with a variety of nail sizes. Since all consumers’ nails are different, it is our standpoint that various sizes allow every consumer to have a flawless fit on all 10 nails. A kit of 20-24 nails allows for 1 full application. A kit of 40 nails allows for 2 full applications, and so on. Broadway's objectives are to offer all consumers enough nail sizes for a flawless fit so nails look natural.
4. Why is there a green spot on my nail?
Sometimes, when moisture gets trapped between the natural nail and artificial overlay, a bacterial growth will develop and cause discoloration on the surface of the nail. When applying artificial nails, make sure there are no air pockets as this is where bacteria would begin to form. If you notice a green spot developing, remove nail immediately, apply antiseptic and gently buff the nail surface to remove most of the discoloration.

Additional FAQ
My gel overlay from Real Life Brush-On Gel Nail Kit won’t dry – what am I doing wrong?
If your overlay is not drying completely or surface still “tacky”, apply an additional thin, even, layer of brush-on gel and then another layer of gel activator. The activator fuses with the gel to form overlay but the activator must be applied to WET brush-on gel for it to combine and cure properly.
I can no longer find my favorite Broadway Nail in stores, can I purchase online?
In order to continually meet our consumers’ demands for the latest fashion trends, we update our product designs regularly and therefore need to discontinue and replace existing ones. Our company's goal is to provide consumers with a variety of products to meet their needs and preferences. When the level of demand is insufficient, the product may be discontinued.
By the end of 2009, Kiss will be setting up a section of our website for consumers to purchase certain popular discontinued items directly through Kiss. Please continue to check out our websites, www.kissusa.com and www.broadwaynails.com for these changes, additional product listings, information and free online video demonstrations in our Virtual Nail Salon.
Why do my artificial nails not stay glued on and sometimes “pop off”?
This occurs with improper fit, and insufficient amount of glue. Apply a generous amount of glue so that any gaps between your natural nail an artificial nail are filled.
Why are my full-cover nails splitting down the middle?
This is due to poor fit, flat nail bed, and forcing nail. Apply a generous amount of pink gel glue to serve as a “cushion” between your natural nail and the artificial nail. Be sure not to press down too hard, let glue “customize” fit.
Why are there white spots underneath artificial nails after I apply them?
If nails do not fit properly and insufficient amount of glue was used, air becomes trapped between the natural nail and artificial nail, creating a “bubble” underneath the nail. If exposed to water, the nail may collect moisture and “condensation” will form inside that pocket of air causing “white spots” to appear. We recommend that you remove nails with air pockets and reapply.
How can I avoid air pockets underneath my full-cover nails?
Use more glue when applying artificial full-cover nails. Apply glue first to underside of artificial nail and then also to natural nail. Slowly lower artificial nail onto natural nail at cuticle end first allowing nail to “float” on glue and nail surface. Allow the glue to fill any spaces that may occur between the natural nail and artificial nail.
How do I remove glue from skin/surfaces/clothing?
  • Skin
Immerse bonded areas in warm, soapy water. Peel or roll skin apart. Remove cured adhesive with warm, soapy water (may take several applications). Acetone based polish remover can also be successful for removal of cured adhesive from skin. PLEASE CONTACT A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY WITH ANY INCIDENTS OF EYE OR MOUTH EXPOSURE TO CYANOACRYLATE (GLUE) ADHESIVE.
  • Lips
If lips are accidentally stuck together, apply a generous amount of warm water and encourage maximum wetting and pressure from saliva from inside the mouth. Peel or roll (do not pull) lips apart. It is almost impossible to swallow the adhesive as a liquid. The adhesive solidifies upon contact with saliva (moisture) and could adhere to the inside of the mouth. Saliva will lift the adhesive in 1-2 days, avoid swallowing the adhesive after detachment. PLEASE CONTACT A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY WITH ANY INCIDENTS OF EYE OR MOUTH EXPOSURE TO CYANOACRYLATE (GLUE) ADHESIVE.
  • Eyelid
In the event that eyelids are stuck together or bonded to the eyeball, wash thoroughly with warm water and apply a gauze patch. The eye will open without further action within 1-4 days. To our knowledge there has never been a documented case of adhesive in the eye causing permanent damage. Do not try to force eyes open. PLEASE CONTACT A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY WITH ANY INCIDENTS OF EYE OR MOUTH EXPOSURE TO CYANOACRYLATE (GLUE) ADHESIVE.
  • Eyeball
  • Surfaces/Clothing
To remove glue stains from most surfaces, we suggest first scraping the dried up glue from the surface. In addition, we recommend using a cotton swab dipped in acetone and gently wiping it against the surface. We suggest testing out this method in a small area before you continue. The safest way to repair your furniture/clothing is by consulting with a professional furniture repair shop or dry cleaner in your area.
For any cloth related articles, we suggest getting advice from your dry cleaner for they will be better able to assist with glue stains and can recommend a suitable cleaning method for different materials.
This method does NOT remove the glue from all surfaces, especially those that are delicate. Please cover your work area with paper towels to avoid any damage to any item. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this occurrence has caused.

Why do my artificial nails appear dull?
The use of some cleaning products or hair products (such as hairspray) can damage the protective surface of polished nails and dull the shine of the nail surface. Simply apply an additional layer of topcoat to refresh the glossy shine.
Why are my artificial nail tips lifting at stress points?
This occurs with improper fit. Do not use tips that are too small. Use a larger size and file the sides of tops to customize fit to your nail.
I have irritated cuticles and skin after nail application, could this be an allergic reaction?
Some are highly sensitive to the chemicals in acrylic liquid or glue products. However, you can avoid this type of reaction by carefully applying artificial enhancements making sure not to get any excess on the cuticles or skin. Excessive filing can also irritate cuticles and skin, file gently. An allergy to any product is usually characterized by redness, swelling, and itching of skin with direct contact. Should you experience any pain or severe discomfort, we recommend that you seek the guidance of a healthcare professional.
Will nail enhancements damage my natural nails?
Improper removal is what damages the natural nails. Do not pull nails off! If you are using pre-glued nails, soak nails in warm water for 10-15 minutes and then peel nails off from the side. If you are using nail enhancements that were adhered with regular nail or gel glue, you must soak them off in an acetone-based solution such as Kiss All or One Artificial Nail Remover Kit. After the nails are completely removed, be sure to re-hydrate the nails and cuticle using your favorite lotion or oil.
The cap of my glue or gel is stuck to the bottle. How can I keep this from happening so I can reuse the bottle?
It is very important to wipe the neck of the bottle with a paper towel before replacing the cap. Also, be sure to store glue tube in an upright position. If you find you are still having this problem, try wiping the neck of the bottle with an acetone-soaked cotton ball instead of a plain paper towel.
Can I trim or file nail enhancements?
Full cover nail enhancements and tips can be both trimmed and filed for desired length and shape. When altering the length or shape of a designed nail, be sure to apply 1-2 layers of top coat over the entire nail surface and free edge for design protection.
